The Den Care Club provides safe, friendly and reliable after school childcare from the end of the school day until 6pm, based at Walton Cottage Educational Trust on Stretford Road, Manchester.

We know the school day does not always fit around working life. The Den Care Club gives families in the Trafford M16 area access to a safe, caring and engaging after school club until 6pm.

What age groups do you cater for?
The Den Care Club welcomes primary school children aged 4 to 11 years (Reception through to Year 6) living or attending school in the Trafford M16, Old Trafford, and Stretford areas.
What are your operating hours and session times?
We operate Monday to Friday during term time, from school finish (approx. 3:15 pm) until 6:00 pm. Children must be collected by an authorized parent or guardian by 6:00 pm.
Which schools do you serve and how does collection work?
Our club is based at Walton Cottage Educational Trust, 597 Stretford Road, Manchester, M16 9BX. We provide after-school care for local families, including those attending nearby schools such as St Alphonsus Primary School. Our DBS-checked team provides an accompanied walking bus collection directly from St Alphonsus Primary School. We also warmly welcome parents and guardians who wish to drop off their children directly at Walton Cottage after dismissal.
Do you accept Tax-Free Childcare and Childcare Vouchers?
Yes. Because The Den Care Club is an Ofsted-registered childcare provider (URN: 2897255), eligible working parents can pay using the UK Government Tax-Free Childcare scheme (saving up to 20% on childcare costs) as well as major childcare voucher providers (including Edenred, Computershare, and Care-4).
How much does a session cost and how do we book?
Sessions start from just £10 per session. We offer flexible options to suit your schedule: £10 for early collection (3:00 pm – 5:00 pm) and £15 for the full afternoon (3:00 pm – 6:00 pm). Every session includes a wholesome afternoon snack, fresh fruit, drinks, and all craft materials and games. We provide guaranteed regular term-time slots as well as ad-hoc and emergency bookings (subject to availability). Places can be booked via our online registration form.
What snacks do you provide, and can you handle food allergies?
Every child receives a fresh fruit choice, a healthy drink, and a nutritious filling snack (such as fresh wraps or sandwiches with cheese, ham, or jam). Rachel holds Level 2 Food Hygiene and Paediatric First Aid qualifications, and all dietary requirements, allergies, and religious food preferences are strictly logged and catered for.
What qualifications and safety checks do your staff hold?
All staff hold Enhanced DBS checks, pediatric first aid certifications, and designated safeguarding qualifications. Our leadership team brings over 30 years of experience across primary education and early years settings, led by Emma (Higher Level Teaching Assistant & Safeguarding Lead) and Rachel (Level 3 Childcare & Education).
